THE SPACE BUNNY LEGACY
played classic style

Just so you know. If you're a fan of Q & T McDuff and their story, or giggle at Arv's and my bickering, this is something completely different. Not at all a story, just notes about how I play, commenting sim events, how many points I've gotten and stuff like that. I just want to warn you, so you don't get dissapointed. ;)

UPDATED November 22 2006: Huge update today, all of generation 6, which means pages 1-13.

UPDATED November 18 2006: I've added generation 5 page 12, 13 and 14.

UPDATED November 8 2006: Generation 5 page 6, 7 and 8 is new! I've also installed Numenor's BaseGameStarter PRO (available at MTS2), which makes it possible to keep different game version neighbourhoods all at once, just by switching CD/DVD. I got both Pets and GLS only a few days ago, and have them both installed. Aloysius is of course still classic, but will be uni once I reach gen 10, and Q is FFS at the moment, but will be Pets later, as I plan to recreate Devendria there. But more about that later at McDuff Stuff.

Say hello to a familiar face! Aloysius Qosmic is back!

It took blood, sweat and tears before I was able to recreate Aloysius in Body Shop. Never seen him before, and wondering what the heck I'm talking about? Aloysius was the first TS2 sim I wrote a story about. I'd had legacy sims before him, but he was my first big sim crush. :) The story is still online, and can be found here: Qosmic Sims. I only got as far as generation 3 (although that isn't documented), before I felt like starting something completely new, which resulted in this: McDuff Stuff. I've gotten as far as generation 7 with a uni legacy, but for quite some time now I've felt deprived of the pleasure of having finished a legacy. SimSight was my attempt to play a classic legacy with uni and NL installed (it was HARD), but after losing Arv to the mighty hardware crash gods, I thought to myself "why not do the real deal and play through a true classic one"? The McDuffs started as a legacy family, first uni and then uni/NL, but I abandoned the legacy concept with Q since it felt too limited for the story. Taking that step opened up new possibilities. I can have the McDuff story running simultanously as I play a classic legacy. Sure, since I've grown used to the luxury of a wider variety of interactions, neighbourhoods (college and downtown) and whatnot, it will be more of a challenge as for set design, but sometimes less is more. And it's only temporary. At the rate that story is going, I'll be done with the new legacies before as much as a sim year has passed in Devendria (the land of Q). :D So plan is to play through a  classic legacy, start a uni legacy with gen 10 from the classic one, and then I'll see. Perhaps move on to start a NL legacy with gen 10 from uni, but I'm still debating that with myself.

'Nuf with the explanations! Yes, Aloysius recreated first in Body Shop and then tweaked a little in CAS. I wasn't happy with how he turned out, actually, but I played through to gen 3 on the way (took me less than a week, believe it or not) before I thought "it's now or never" concerning starting over with a new and improved Aloysius, more true to the original I had a year ago. So that's what I did (Amy aka The Overlord tells me I'm a phoenix, and she's absolutely right). Above you see Aloysius version 4.02. With the same custom eyes, custom skin, custom hair and even custom clothes as the first time around! Again a knowledge sim, but I don't remember his old personality, so I just made him the way I thought would be most effective. 3 neat, so he can eat fast, don't clean autonomously and isn't so bothered by a messy environment. 5 outgoing, just because I couldn't decide which was the better alternative. 6 active so I could direct him to run places. 4 playful to avoid him insult less playful sims and do stuff like play in the bathtub (which is cute, but not effective). 7 nice simply because that's how I see him. :) All that made him a pisces. And because I'm so fond of him and don't want to lose him ever again, he's going to be my super sim and will be alive for at least all of the classic legacy. Then we'll see. Maybe he'll beg me to let him have his platinum stone by that time. *lol*

This is how he started out. On a blank 5x5 lot, with only the neccessities, like the fancy telescope (hellooooo aliens!) and a wall with a phone. It's in Plesantville, but I deleted all the Maxis families. I'd missed Lauren Reeves the pizza woman just as much as Aloysius, so of course my first goal was to get those two together again.

"Hey... You're not Lauren. Sorry, but I'm not into blondes."

He ordered A LOT of pizza before she finally came. Woooo!

I know she has a funky nose, but I still love her. Dunno why really, she's just so sweet, and my all time favourite NPC.

Just like old times. They're destined for eachother!!! Who can resist satin pajama bottoms and a dragon tattoo, I ask you?!

Aloysius asked Lauren to move in, and immidiately after they fell in love, I had them try for baby. Yep, after a few tries I heard the lullaby. Lauren is family, and very much wanted a little one.

This picture is making me so nostalgic... How very true to Aloysius character to stargaze all night! Last time around he and Lauren were pregnant at the same time! I miss his half alien daughter Banjee terribly... *sob* At least he's got hi mandatory orange underwear! Gotta make himself pretty for the pollination technician!

Gotta make a respectable woman outta Lauren, right?

Q is one of the best letters in the alphabet imo, but I thought it'd be a little too confusing to go through generation after generation of Qosmics, with me going by the nick Q/Qosmic and my sim alter ego Q/Qosmic McDuff sharing the same name. So I had Lauren initiate the wedding, and Aloysius took Reeves as his lastname.

The guests were hiding behind the cleaning van. It's Amy the paper girl, Kaylynn the maid and of course Aloysius' best friend Goopy!

Little baby on the way, but no abduction yet.

Once again working as a test subject.

I was gobsmacked when I got this! Lauren doesn't have the twin gene, and neither does Aloysius. I guess there really is some randomness to getting twins.

Two little daughters: Biscaya and Barynia.

I'm very much into getting a good score (and appearantly so are the sims *lol*), so they basically started trying for the next baby right away. We're aiming for 10 kids and 20 grandkids. Adoption would work, but I'm curious to see the differences in genetic setup in the offspring.

Thankfully (but a bit boring), weather is always good in the sims universe, so they lived on the lawn for the longest time!

I thought it'd be fun to have Goopy in the household, just like old times, so Aloysius asked him to move in. This is before his "hottiefication", but when he smiles you can get a hint of the deeply hidden, inner hunk. *lol*

Look at that! Nice change, huh? Goopy is a romance sim, and very fun to play as such. Since he's not needed for the bloodline, I insisted he'd make himself useful somehow, so he's going for his IW. I wanted to know if the make out/woohoo with 30 sims wants really existed, and tried to think of ways to trigger them in the "right" order. That's why I chose to have him only make out with other sims first. The last time he didn't get to experience more than women, so I thought I'd have him be a "trysexual", and he seemed to like the expanded hunting range! Abhijeet was the first vict... eh... targ... ...SIM to be "floopied" (Goopy flirted). Wow... I've never looked closely at his nose before. Yikes!

It didn't take long before it was time for the twins' birthday. Effective parents, huh? Potty training one while transitioning the other.

Who cares about walking and talking? Creativity is the top Q priority!

Not exactly rich, but doing ok.

This is really embarrassing, but so typically me. I often forget to pay the bills even if I have enough money, and of course the repo man came. I felt like the sad smiley looks.

I know it was my fault, but I still think it's petty of him to go after the kids' toys (and look at his face how much he's enjoying it!)! Where's your conscience, dude?!

At first I had no idea why Aloysius was so upset with Lauren and told her off like that. But after witnessing the same thing happening a few times, I figured out that a sim showering didn't like when another sim used the toilet at the same time. I didn't know that before.

Glitches. Hm... Looks like it hurts! The toddler's creativity meter is stuck too.

I think this is Biscaya, but I'm not 100 % sure. She's changed into the hairstyle that was meant to be genetical (my memory failed me how to give Aloysius a genetical background in CAS). In reality she's black haired; the whole family is.

I just thought this was a lovely pic of Lauren. I've changed her hair too. Now she looks like she used to.

The twins are now children, but I wonder where the bus driver is? Pee breake?

A few more possessions now, but still living on the lawn. And Marisa is about to be floopied.

I forgot to mention that the third child (result of the second pregnancy) was also a little girl. I named her Begonia.

I hate having the headmaster over for a visit, but I'm usually pretty good at that scenario. Aloysius and BJ Ryan hit it off right away.

NOT what you want to happen when entertaining such a prominent guest! But I got the kids into private school nonetheless. Phew!

Finally a house! Yes, I'm once again sappy and nostalgic. The layout of the kitchen reminds of the old house, and the grey brick exterior is the exact same. I still haven't given up hope about getting Aloysius abducted, so of course I had to have a stargazing central on the roof.

The money wasn't enough for flooring though. Poor simmies.

After Begonia there was another girl born - Biscuit - which made the total number of daughters to 4! But finally they got a boy, to balance it. Name? Barabaz.

For a while, I had A LOT of glitches. Here's Barabaz (now a child) with the invisible school bus. The driver was fully visible though, unlike last bus pic when it was the other way around.

When the twins became teens, I rolled fortune for both. Btw, I've chosen to do "yatzy rolls" as opposed to the normal one. What does that mean, you might wonder? Well, I shake a handful of dice (5) and then roll them, and go by the number I get the most of. If there's two pairs for example, I roll the 5th die until I get one of the two saved alternatives, and then go by that. Oh, I almost forgot, in this pic, even Begonia is a teen already. She rolled romance, but since I was working on her older sisters' IWs, she never got to live out her true personality: all she did was make paintings they could sell. In fact, the whole family did.

How could I be so stupid to let Goopy start a relationship with Remington the maid so early on? Remington was bound to catch his boyfriend cheating sooner or later!

Like I said earlier, a lot of glitches... Here's Goopy and Christy Stratton having a not so synced woohoo session...

The Goopster is still at it although Christy is leaving! He decided to go by the Ross philosophy: "I'm gonna make myself happy!"

This is what a successful romance sim's phone book looks like! Go Goopy! And Yes, he floopied all the maids, two nannies (Goopy likes experienced women) and every single adult townie, among many others!

It's funny how 3 of the kids got NPC clothes when becoming adults! Here's Barynia in the firefighter outfit, Begonia in delivery overalls and Biscuit (who rolled popularity) in exterminator gear. Biscaya got the really cool red tiger dress and Barabaz must've thought that a suit would make him suitable (he!) for his romance aspiration.

POINTS UPDATE: Goopy got his 30 loves at once, and the twins earned  $ 100 000 each about 1/3 into adulthood.

After the twins got their money, I let the three youngest (Begonia, Biscuit and Barabaz) move to a house of their own to make room for the rest of Lauren's desired 10 kids. She lured Aloysius to bed immidiately, and got pregnant with baby number 6.

As mentioned above, Goopy fulfilled his IW and it was time for him to move out. But first I let him ask Jan Tellerman to move in (money money money) and they got married, before calling a cab and moving out! As the Reeves tradition bids, Lauren and Aloysius was watching the ceremony from across the street. *lol*
